Shared Notes
- [1.1]
- Lactobacillus may inhibit stone growth. However, our multi-omics integration strongly points to three unknown metabolites.
- The bacterium Oxalobacter formigenes uses oxalate as a carbon and energy source for growth, is negatively associated with both USD and urinary oxalate, is sensitive to common antibiotics, and can reduce urinary oxalate when administered orally as a probiotic, all of which implicates loss of function dysbiosis associated with this species and calcium oxalate stone formation.
